Neil HAS been there. As the father of two grown children, Neil knows what its like to be a harried parent, a concerned parent, a loving parent. He also understands how to relate to children (maybe "too much", some would kid him) and how to wait for the right time to take a photo of children. Many clients have commented on Neil's seemingly endless patience, and that is his secret with kids. Don't rush. Don't yell out "Say Cheese" (which only gets a "cheesy" smile. Although "Zucchini" works quite well if time is short.) Some of the best child photography is of the child engrossed in something - no big toothy grin, just that sense of wonder and exploration of the "new and amazing" which children are especially adept at. Just wait, give them something to look at, be strange and funny. Parents just need to stand back and let Neil work - until called upon to play peek-a-boo or some other fun game with the whole family.
